‘We are resurfacing an extensive number of roads in the above mentioned areas for the next two months. I would like to thank road users and the local community for their patience and cooperation as we work to ensure that we keep Capetonians moving on good quality roads. Selected damaged manholes, catch pits, frames and chambers will also be repaired or replaced, where necessary. Once completed, new road markings will be applied to improve road safety and visibility,’ said the City Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

To facilitate the work, partial lane closures may be in place until Saturday, 7 June 2025. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes where possible to minimise delays.
